Hundreds of relatives of missing persons took to the streets in Jaffna today demanding that the UN should intervene with an international mechanism in order to provide them answers on the fate of their loved ones who were made to disappear in past since the government failed to take adequate steps to find their whereabouts. Families of missing persons, joined with local politicians and civil society organized a protest in Sankiliyan park, Jaffna after marching from town held photographs of their missing loved ones and placards demanding justice.
