New online service for foreign tourists
The govt has directed attention towards introducing a web portal for foreign tourists to obtain secure transport services. Ministry of Tourism & Civil Aviation said tourists will be able to obtain accommodation, vehicle rental services and other services necessary for their trip, through the online service, introduced by the SL Transport Board. The introduction of the web portal has been proposed as a solution to prevent illegal activity and abuse linked to the tourism industry.
