The only dangerous drug that is being cultivated in Sri-Lanka is Cannabis. However the threat that imposed by this drug to the society is not much of a serious problem in comparison to Heroine.
There was an instance where a consignment of Cannabis was exported to U.K. The sleuths of the Police Narcotics Bureau were successful in implementing a controlled delivery, where the suspects concerned were nabbed in U.K and in Sri-Lanka at the same time when the consignment of Cannabis was claimed by its consignee in U.K
