Kinder wie die Zeit vergeht.1986,war mein erster SL Urlaub und die Zugfahrt von Colombo nach Kandy war ein echtes Abenteuer.Nun mit 52 Jahren würde ich dann doch lieber mit so einem neuen Zug fahren.

Aber vergiss die Strickweste nicht, die Klimaanlagen haben Frostqualität, das ist auch nix für unser Alter sm1:

Special train service from Kandy to Colombo Fort from today

Mon, Nov 25, 2019, 11:49 am SL Time, ColomboPage News Desk, Sri Lanka. Nov 25, Colombo: General Manager of Railways Dilantha Fernando said that a new train from Kandy to Colombo will be operated from today.
The train will leave Kandy at 4.30 am and the same train will depart Colombo Fort to Kandy at 5.20 pm.
The General Manager of the Railways Department said the Transport Minisrty had made arrangements to import eight new power sets and one of those imported power sets is deployed for service on the Colombo-Kandy route from today (25).

Denuwara Manike train on upcountry line to run daily from next month

Jan 20, Colombo: ‘Denuwara Manike’, Sri Lanka Railways’ first intercity train between Colombo Fort and Badulla on the main line will be operated daily from February 02, the State Minister of Railways CB Ratnayake said. The train is currently operated every other day.
The State Minister made this observation while participating in an inspection tour of the Denuwara Manike train from Colombo Fort to Badulla on last Friday (18).
